Will there be a script supervisor on set?
I went to a few private industry parties on Saturday, and this guy, a director who teaches acting, said he tells his students this:
Always ask, “Will there be a script supervisor on set?” If there isn’t, then you know it’s gonna be an amateur film
Thanks Robin :) Gotta spread the word about what we do though, if people don’t understand it, they don’t know how to appreciate it. Script Supervisors are more common in the professional field than student films or amateur productions. It’s just that, our job’s not only about dialogue, and continuity of how much wine was in a glass. It’s about making sure the coverage is good, the camera set ups are right, and that movie will cut in the editing room to be made into a fine ass mother fucking film haha
